How connecting works

1

Pick your AI client

Choose the setup option above that matches where you want to use HYBRD.
2

Sign in with your HYBRD account

You will sign in on a HYBRD-hosted page. Your AI client never sees your password.
3

Choose your access

Read access is separate from writes, which are never included by default.
4

Start training

Your client can now work from the training context you approved.

Try asking

Create the next four weeks of my training in HYBRD around these goals.

What training have I completed in the last four weeks?

Why is my plan built this way right now — what is this phase for?

How do my recent workouts relate to the current phase of my plan?

Log yesterday's 5×5 back squat at 185 lb as a completed workout.

I tweaked my calf — rebuild this week with no running.

Tools

Your agent discovers the exact tools available after you connect. HYBRD only exposes the training context and actions you approve.

1

Understand your training

Read completed and scheduled workouts, the current plan phase, profile facts, and performance benchmarks.
2

Coach with context

Use your history and plan intent to answer training questions and explain what comes next.
3

Take approved action

Create structured workouts or update profile data only when you grant write access.

Questions, answered.

What is MCP?

MCP is an open protocol that lets AI clients discover and use tools from remote servers. HYBRD MCP gives a connected client permissioned access to training context and structured workout actions.

Which AI clients work?

ChatGPT via Codex, Claude desktop and web, Claude Code, Cursor, VS Code, and any MCP-capable client that supports streamable HTTP and OAuth.

Do I need a HYBRD account first?

Yes. Download HYBRD on iPhone and sign in with that account when you connect. The connection flow uses the same account as the HYBRD app.

Does it cost anything?

Connecting is free. When a tool requires an active subscription, the MCP server returns a secure Stripe checkout link. Complete checkout, then retry the tool.

Can it change my training?

Only with workouts:write or profile:write, which you approve at consent. Every write is a structured workout or profile fact you can see in the HYBRD app.

Is HYBRD MCP secure?

HYBRD uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. Your AI client never receives your HYBRD password, access is limited to the scopes you approve, and write access is never included in a default read-only grant.

I can't find MCP settings in ChatGPT

Switch to Codex and start a Codex conversation first. MCP servers are available on the web with a paid ChatGPT plan; if the setting is missing, enable developer mode under Settings → Security and login (or Apps → Advanced settings).
