Connect HYBRD to ChatGPT
You can connect HYBRD from ChatGPT. Start in Codex mode — that is where custom MCP servers are added and used.
Overview
HYBRD is a remote MCP server. ChatGPT can create and update structured workouts in your HYBRD account, then you follow those sessions in the app or on a supported device. Prescribed paces and weights progress automatically as you complete training.
Start in Codex mode
Open ChatGPT and switch to Codex before you add the connector. The MCP server controls live in Codex, not in a regular chat. No existing HYBRD account is required. HYBRD creates one during the connection flow if needed.
Add HYBRD in Codex
Use ChatGPT on the web. A paid ChatGPT plan is required. If you do not see MCP server settings yet, enable developer mode first: open Settings → Security and login (or Apps → Advanced settings) and turn on developer mode.
Switch to Codex
In ChatGPT, select Codex and start a Codex conversation.
Add the HYBRD server
Open Settings → MCP servers, then add a server. Name it HYBRD, choose streamable HTTP, and paste this endpoint:
https://mcp.hybrd.com/mcpAuthenticate with HYBRD
Complete the HYBRD OAuth sign-in in your browser. Sign in if you already have a HYBRD account; otherwise HYBRD creates one for you. Approve the requested permissions, then return to Codex.
What you are authorizing
HYBRD uses OAuth for this connection. ChatGPT does not receive your HYBRD password, and HYBRD does not receive your ChatGPT password.
Managed workspaces
On a Business, Enterprise, or Edu workspace, an administrator may need to allow custom MCP servers before Codex shows the add-server controls.
Use HYBRD in Codex
Stay in Codex and ask about your training with HYBRD enabled for the conversation. Try prompts such as creating the next few weeks of training, reviewing recent completed workouts, or updating upcoming sessions around a schedule change.
ChatGPT shows the tool call before it runs. Connecting your account is free. When a tool requires an active subscription, the MCP server returns a secure Stripe checkout link. Complete checkout, then retry the tool.
The same tools are available from every connected client. See available MCP tools.
Connect with Codex CLI
If you use the Codex CLI instead of the ChatGPT Codex UI, add the same remote server from your terminal:
codex mcp add hybrd --url https://mcp.hybrd.com/mcpThen run codex mcp login hybrd to complete the HYBRD OAuth flow in your browser.
Troubleshooting
I cannot find MCP servers or developer mode
Switch from Chat to Codex first, then look in Codex settings. Developer mode lives under Settings → Security and login or Settings → Apps → Advanced settings, and it requires a paid ChatGPT plan on the web.
HYBRD authentication does not finish
Retry the OAuth flow in a browser where you can sign in to the intended HYBRD account. Allow the authentication window to open, complete any required sign-in steps, then return to Codex.
A tool says that a subscription is required
Open the secure Stripe checkout link returned by HYBRD, complete the subscription, then retry the tool. Connecting and creating a HYBRD account are free.
Codex is not using HYBRD
Confirm HYBRD is added and enabled for the Codex conversation, then ask a specific question about your workouts or current plan.
